Ed Gurowitz has spent over 20 years on the front lines of organizational transformation. In 1985 he was one of the designers of an effort that helped IBM go from having missed the boat in the emerging personal computer industry to being an industry leader in less than 3 years. This program became the internationally respected Executive Excellence Program, which Ed designed and delivered to over 300 top executives from 1991 to 1998. From 2002 to 2008 he was Senior Consultant, Director of Research, and Vice President of Conversant, an internationally respected consulting and training firm designing and delivering programs to Fortune 100 companies world-wide in communication, collaboration, performance management, and negotiation.

After successful careers in research and clinical psychology and as a designer and deliverer of human development seminars, Ed founded the Center for Management Design in 1991 and was one of the founding partners of the Generative Leadership Group, an international management consultancy. In his work with companies ranging from Fortune 500 organizations to startup companies, he has concentrated on producing large-scale organizational change while maintaining and increasing productivity and profitability and on helping companies to turn human interaction from a source of difficulty and waste into a source of enhanced value, productivity, and performance.. In addition to his work in North America, he has worked extensively in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia. His work has included working with non-profits and governments (he was a consultant to Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres) as well as international corporations.

Ed is a leading-edge thinker in the area of communication, management, and organizational design. The author of The Molecular Basis of Memory and numerous articles on clinical psychology, organizational psychology, and management, he has specialized for the past 20 years in leadership development, communication and collaboration, strategy consulting, and executive coaching. He has been a coach and mentor to CEOs and upper-level executives of Fortune 500 firms as well as small businesses and non-profits.

Ed Gurowitz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a doctorate in psychology from the University of Rochester. He has served on the Boards of several companies and also of a number of non-profit organizations.
